Fashion: Fall/Winter 2012 Outerwear
Hey there lovelies!
We're already more than half way through fall & if you are on the East Coast like me you can deff feel the winter chill creeping up.
The weather here in NYC has been bouncing back and forth between 35 to 60 degrees lately so I have had my lighter coats in rotation with my somewhat heavier ones day to day. I thought I would share with you my favorite outerwear trends of the season that I have in my wardrobe along with some I'm planning on purchasing very soon.
Parkas: I've wanted a parka since last winter but for some reason have yet to purchase one. The earth tones of fall/winter 2011 have seemed to trickle down into this season's winter trends. One big trend this season is military wear so parkas + earth tones give off a somewhat military vibe meaning double the style factor!
Fur Vest: Ok so last season I wasn't a huge fan of the fur trend, but this season it has grown on me. Throwing on a fur vest over a seemingly plain outfit creates a more glam look.
Leather & Blends: whether it be a biker or bomber, leather just makes you feel like rocker rebel. Lately, there are blends of denim & leather, or canvas & leather which give you the best of both worlds. I'm planning on making my own denim/leather jacket in the near future.
Peacoats: These coats seem to never go out of style. Peacoats are classic & you can never go wrong with a simple peacoat. Want to escape the norm? Go out and buy yourself a peacoat in one of this seasons trendy colors.
